📱 Solana Saga Phone Released

Saga transforms smartphones into mobile banks by embedding a hardware wallet, leveraging the power of the Solana blockchain to bring web3 infrastructure to the world.

The key feature is the Seed Vault: a secure environment built into the phone that keeps your private keys private, with an app layer running on the device or mobile browser.

This enables you to sign transactions with your fingerprint, while keeping your seed phrase completely secure.

The Solana Mobile Stack is an Android mobile stack to help developers build web3 mobile apps.

The SMS DK includes all the tools you'll need to easily build and deploy an app on SMS with the Mobile Wallet Adapter and SMS React Framework.

The Solana Foundation has also launched a $10 million Mobile Fund grants program for mobile-first dApps.

⛺ Encode Solana Hackathon & Bootcamp

In the spirit of previous successful collaborations, Encode is introducing the Summer Bootcamp & Hackathon Sponsored by the Solana Foundation.

Both the Hackathon and Bootcamp are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to participants from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Encode Bootcamp

The Solana Bootcamp cohort will provide comprehensive, hands-on training for developers looking to create cutting-edge web3 applications using Solana.

Bootcamp sessions will run for 90 minutes daily (Monday-Thursday) for six weeks. Attendance is mandatory to successfully complete the bootcamp.

The curriculum will cover the following weekly topics:

1. Introduction to Blockchain, Solana theory, and Rust

2. Rust, Development tools, and Solana token program

3. Anchor Framework and UI

4. Solana Program Library and NFTs with Metaplex

5. Security, DeFi, and Advanced features

6. Project Week

Only a limited number of participants will be selected, which makes the application process very competitive.

With prizes, mentorship from industry experts, and a supportive community, this hackathon is set to propel the next wave of Solana innovators.
